Johnny Weir and Joannie Rochette to be Commentators at Sochi

At long last, the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics are here! While the events may not officially start until tomorrow, we figure skating fans will get a jump-start on the fun with some preliminary events today! And what better way to enjoy viewing this year’s Olympians than through the added commentary of Riedell’s own past Olympians? Johnny Weir and Joannie Rochette will both be in attendance at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, providing figure skating wisdom through their own expertise to audiences worldwide.

With a strong background in figure skating – back to back Winter Olympian, three-time U.S. national champion and a World bronze medalist – Johnny Weir knows the perfect landing when he sees it. Count on hearing him as a commentator for NBC Sports during the Games.

Joannie Rochette stole hearts at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver when she claimed a bronze medal for Canada in women’s figure skating. Fans will be happy to know that, while she will not be competing in this year’s Olympic Games, she will still be there offering support as a commentator for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
