Elena Radionova
There’s no doubt Riedell skater Elena Radionova is one of the best young skaters in the world. Despite missing the age cutoff for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, she hit the podium twice during her first two senior Grand Prix events (bronze at the 2013 Skate America and silver at the 2013 NHK Trophy) en route to a fourth place finish as the youngest competitor at the 2013 Grand Prix Final in Fukuoka, Japan.
Most recently, Elena became the first lady ever to defend her title at the 2014 Junior World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. With record-breaking scores of 66.90 in the short program and 127.39 in the free skate, Elena took the top spot in a clean sweep for Russia.
Elena has been a proud Riedell supporter, and we are extremely proud of her too. She had these words to say:
“I’d been looking for the proper skates for a long time and finally found them at Riedell. The moment I put them on, I understood that they were exactly what I needed! They are very light and comfortable; I like them a lot. I’ve been skating in Riedell for many years. I win with Riedell!”
Best of luck to Elena as she continues her already outstanding skating career!
