If you’ve been following us closely on Facebook and Twitter, you’ve probably seen posts about the recent success of some of Riedell’s competitive skaters. We couldn’t be more impressed with how well our skaters have started the 2014-2015 competitive skate season!

The Canadian ice dancing duo of Garrett Mackeen and Mackenzie Bent has been an exciting team to watch. They ended the 2013-2014 national competition season on a sweet note, placing first in junior ice dance at the 2014 Canadian National Skating Championships. Now, after a summer full of training, the two are back in the competitive spotlight with their eyes on the prize.

Garrett and Mackenzie’s return to the ice was met with praise all the way across the world from their home of Ontario, Canada at the ISU Junior Grand Prix in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The pair ended their short and free dance routines with a combined score of 138.17, finishing first overall with a seven point lead!
