Skate into Winter with the Grand Prix’s Second Half
With three action-packed events down and three highly anticipated events to go, we’ve reached the halfway point of this year’s ISU Grand Prix. Skaters around the world are prepping for the final events leading up to the Grand Prix Finale in Barcelona, Spain.
Two such skaters are the American pairs team Brandon Frazier and Haven Denney. This Riedell duo is off to an impressive start after taking home silver from Skate America in October. Next up is this weekend’s Rostelecom Cup in Moscow, Russia where they hope to qualify for the Finale December 11-14. Good luck!
Riedell figure skaters and friends Johnny Weir and Kurt Browning are also getting ready for this weekend’s event as they continue to add expert opinions to the Grand Prix conversation. While you won’t find them on the ice during these competitions, both Weir and Browning have contributed so much in their roles as figure skating analysts. Weir has been spotlighted time after time for his insightful comments alongside fellow NBC Sports analyst Tara Lipinksi; Browning has provided excellent previews and reviews of each event on CBC Sports.
Don’t forget to soak up an exhilarating second half of the Grand Prix starting with the Rostelecom Cup this weekend, followed by the Trophee Bompard featuring Elena Radionova the next! In the meantime, check out what Weir and Lipinski have to say with more halfway point updates.
Enjoy the show!
