News on Nationals Gold

Written By: Riedell | January 31, 2012

We couldn’t be happier to have three 2012 Nationals champions wearing Riedell skates! A big round of applause goes to gold medalists Caydee Denney, Haven Denney and Vincent Zhou.

Senior Pairs Champion:

Riedell skater Caydee Denney won gold with her partner John Coughlin, and this is Caydee and John’s first Nationals as partners! Fun fact: Caydee was the 2010 Nationals senior pairs champion, while John won last year. We’d say this pair is made for each other!

We’ll see Caydee and John at World’s in March in Nice, France!

Junior Pairs Champion:

Haven Denney (and yes—Caydee and Haven are sisters! Figure skating must run in their veins.) hit the ice in her Riedells to capture first place in junior pairs with her partner Brandon Frazier. Their coach called the routine an “explosive” performance. Next year they hope to compete at the senior level. Great job!

Novice Men’s Champion:

Vincent Zhou was the youngest competitor in the novice men’s competition, but came out on top with the gold medal. He even broke the record for the highest score at the US Championships by a novice male. Outstanding!

We are proud of the many skaters who represented us so well. View all Riedell results here.
