Riedell Skater to Star in Ice Castles Remake

For all of you skating enthusiasts who loved the movie Ice Castles, get ready for a remake of the original 1978 fan favorite. The modern-day take on the classic figure skating romantic-drama is currently being filmed in Nova Scotia, and is set to be released in time for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The film will be produced by Donald Wyre, who directed the original. Riedell skater Taylor Firth. Taylor stars as Alexis “Lexie” Winston. Taylor recently placed 13th at the 2009 U.S. National Championships. Michelle Kwan will make a cameo in the film.
