October Figure Skate Boot of the Month: Instructor 975

Last week, we blogged about the traits that great skating coaches share. Another similarity between many great skating coaches is the boot they rely on during their long days on the ice, our October Boot of the Month, the Instructor 975.

Riedell’s Instructor 975 Boot

Skate coaches spend a lot of time on the ice each day, so we created a boot that helps keep feet warm and comfortable during long periods of ice time. Every feature of the boot was specially designed with the comfort of a skating coach in mind—from the 400 gram Thinsulate® and Cambrelle® lining that keeps feet warm & dry to the triple laminated tongue and dual-density quarter padding that enhance comfort for long days on the ice. Plus, the 975 is designed with a leather and cork the soling system that provides lightweight shock absorption.

You’ll notice, too, that the forefoot area of our Instructor 975 boot looks different than our other boot models. That’s because the forefoot area is cut out for improved comfort in the sensitive ball joint and little toe areas of the foot, areas that, as many skaters know, receive a lot of stress during long sessions on the ice.

The Instructor 975 is available in both Ladies and Men’s sizes and is also available in black. We recommend pairing this boot with the Eclipse Infinity blade to make the most of your time on the ice.
