When you skate hard, how can you keep your skates looking as good as your performance? Take a few minutes after every time on the ice for some simple care. First, always wipe skates down inside and out. Yes, inside! Moisture & bacteria from your foot can attack leather, causing mold, mildew and rot to occur. Then loosen the laces, pull the tongue open and let your boots dry at room temperature. Don’t be tempted to store wet skates in a skate bag or in a locker.
