Bravo! Riedell Skaters Take the Podium at Trophée Eric Bompard
It’s Thanksgiving in Riedell’s hometown of Red Wing, Minn. and many skaters across America are celebrating with a festive assortment of family, friends and food. Even though not all of our skaters spanning the globe celebrate this holiday, we would like to share our sincere thanks for your continued support of Riedell. We also want to congratulate skaters on their continued success at the Grand Prix!
Elena Radionova, Ladies
Russian ladies skater Elena Radionova defeated her personal best overall score with 203.92 points at the Trophée Eric Bompard on Saturday. This Riedell star continues to stand out this season after finishing both of her Grand Prix events, Skate America and Trophée Eric Bompard, with gold medals around her neck. While the roster for the Grand Prix Final in Barcelona isn’t set yet, one thing we know for certain is that Elena will be there to compete December 11-14. Bravo, Elena!
Paul Poirier, Ice Dancing
Similar to the success of Elena Radionova, Riedell ice dancer Paul Poirier and partner Piper Gilles earned their second silver medal of the Grand Prix circuit at the Trophée Eric Bompard (their first was awarded at Skate Canada). The Canadian ice dancers are aspiring toward big Olympic goals and they are on the right path to achieve them. Bravo, Paul!
Up next: Joshua Farris, Men
The last Grand Prix event before the final is the NHK Trophy, happening this weekend in Osaka, Japan. We hope to see Riedell’s Joshua Farris, who is scheduled to compete but had to withdraw from the Cup of China due to a recurring ankle injury. Best of luck, Joshua!
Happy Thanksgiving to our many Riedell skaters, parents, coaches, dealers and friends celebrating today. And to the entire Riedell community—we’re thankful for your support!
