2012 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
This past weekend, US junior champ and Riedell pairs skater Haven Denney and her partner Brandon Frazier placed fourth at Junior Worlds. Meanwhile, Joshua Farris fought hard for second in the men’s competition (just a half point away from taking the gold medal!). He smashed his personal best score with a 146.54, and a 221.97 total score. Great job skaters!

Overall, American skaters had their best showing at the Junior Worlds since 2009, taking home four medals at the competition in Minsk, Belarus. Russia had the strongest showing, winning five medals, and China had three, including a first-ever gold in the men’s competition.

2012 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships
Congratulations to Riedell synchro team and Miami University’s RedHawks on their eighth straight collegiate championship and strong third place finish in the senior competition! Fun fact: this eighth consecutive national crown means the RedHawks have tied Michelle Kwan’s record of eight straight national titles.

Team Braemar’s first place in Junior Synchro marks another gold for Riedell. We love synchro and our Riedell-wearing skaters make us proud! Check out the full listing of syncho scores: www.usfigureskating.org/leaderboard.

We can’t wait until the 2012 World Figure Skating Championships, which start March 26 in Nice, France.
